Ages 5 to 12 | September 7, 2026 through May 28, 2027 | Shelby, NC
Your child walks out of school.
And somewhere between that moment and bedtime, the homework battle begins.
You hunker down at the kitchen table with them.
You try to help with math problems you have not seen since middle school.
You watch them struggle through a reading assignment, and you wonder if they are really getting it.
You feel the frustration rising on both sides.
By the time the worksheet is finished, everyone is exhausted.
Nothing was actually learned.
Tomorrow you will do it all over again.
There is a better way.
While you are at work or making dinner or finally getting a moment to breathe, your child can be in a focused tutoring session with a real plan, a real teacher, and real instruction.
They walk out understanding what they were struggling with.
They come home with homework already done or mastered.
This is what Creative Kids Afterschool Tutoring was built for.
And the kitchen table stops being a battleground.
Your child is falling behind. Or you are worried they might be.
You see it in their reading. You hear it in their frustration with math homework. You watch them shut down when school gets hard, and you wonder if they will ever catch up.
You are not failing your child. You are working full time. Managing a household. Doing your best to help with homework when you can barely remember how to do long division yourself.
This is what we are here for.
We are the after-the-bell-rings team that picks up where the school day leaves off. We make sure your child does not fall through the cracks.
There is a better way to support your child's academic growth.
Maximum of 10 children per session. Your child gets real attention, not lost in a crowd of 30.
We tutor math and reading specifically. Two of the most important academic skills for school success. We do not try to do everything. We focus on what matters most.
Your child attends two one-hour sessions per week. That is consistent, repeated practice. Not a one-time fix. Real, sustainable progress.
Choose Monday and Wednesday, or Tuesday and Thursday. Pick what works for your family.
Math at 4:30 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. Reading at 5:30 p.m. Bring Backpack with any necessary school materials and a water bottle.

This program is designed for parents who:
Notice their child struggling in math or reading
Want their child to be confident, not just passing
Believe in catching academic challenges early
Want a structured, focused environment for their child after school
Are looking for real instruction, not just homework supervision
Before placement, each student completes a simple readiness snapshot. This allows us to meet each child where they are and guide their experience appropriately. We assess:
Parents can feel confident that learning here is intentional, not accidental.
Yes. Tutoring is not just for children who are behind. It is also for children who want to get ahead, deepen their understanding, and build stronger skills.
Sessions are focused on math and reading instruction. Bring any school assignments or books they may need to support their learning during the session.
Yes. The schedule is designed so a child can attend a math session followed by a reading session, or vice versa. Talk to us about the best schedule for your child.
The program is designed as two sessions per week for a reason. Consistency is what creates progress. We strongly recommend the full two day per week commitment.
You tell yourself your child will catch up on their own. You hope this year will be different. You sign up for the school's free after-care, thinking that will be enough. Then report cards come out.
Parent-teacher conferences happen. And your child starts saying "I hate school" or "I'm dumb." The longer a child struggles without intervention, the harder it becomes to turn things around.
Reading gaps widen. Math foundations crumble. Confidence erodes. You can address this now, while it is still fixable. Or you can wait until the gap is too big to close without major intervention.
Now is easier. Now is more affordable. Now is the right time.
